Fractals
In nature Fractals occur naturally in the shape of snowflakes which we've loved to eat when we were kids and put into snowshakes and make snowmen from and snow angels.
That great piece of artichoke on the dinner table, the kiwi fruit, the pineapple, the boysenberry all fractal shapes. That great range of mountains that goes across the Western States...the Rockies...fractals.
The clouds that are pounding the Eastern seaboard and MidWest with endless streams of rain....fractals.
That wonderful shade our tree provides us with its waving canopy of leaves is created by fractals....leaves.
Everyone we look. The earth...mountains. The sky...clouds. The heavens...the galaxies. Fractal shapes and designs.
Here for you viewing pleasure and enjoyment are samples of fractals I've created with the help of very powerful workstation computers. Many of the fractals took days, sometimes even weeks and months to design. I use my computers much as the Masters of Fine Arts did their own paint and canvass to create their masterpieces.
A computer is really just a machine that interprets binary code...ones and zeoes...and from that all the variations of type face, or fonts, which you are looking at now to read and images, which is the backdrop and wrapping of what you are reading.
Go to my Fractal Gallery here to enjoy a refreshing cruise through my imagination and the world of fractals.
Some of the images will be pure fractals, unaltered from their original creation and others will be heavily altered with the use of digital paintbrushes of all kinds.
Enjoy.
John
